Matisyahu Supports Israel's Proposed Fur Ban
Readers may recall that in April, heebnvegan featured an exclusive interview with Matisyahu. In June, he wrote a letter on behalf of PETA speaking out in favor of Israel's proposed fur ban. Matisyahu told government leaders, "I hope you will agree that the way that animals suffer and die in the fur trade violates the fundamental principle of tza'ar ba'alei chayim, which forbids gratuitous cruelty to animals."
